Bio

Robert is the acting head of the Biomedical Engineering Programme at Makerere University. He completed his MEng Degree in Medical Engineering at Queen Mary, University of London in 2007. He obtained his Doctor of Engineering Degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. He used microfabrication techniques to develop ultrasound transducers for in-vivo diagnostics. Robert's main aspiration is to ensure access to effective, affordable, and easy to use innovative biomedical devices for advancing diagnostics, therapeutic interventions and disease monitoring. This through design as well capacity building approaches.
