Bio

Gioia Lucarini received her MS degree in Biomedical Engineering (with Honors) from the University of Pisa in September 2009 and PhD in BioRobotics from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in November 2013. She is currently Post-Doc at the BioRobotics Institute of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. Recently she is founder and CEO of Relief srl that received several awards and competitions. Her research interests include medical devices and robot-assisted platforms based on electromagnetic approaches for navigation, location and tracking of devices for surgery, diagnosis and therapy.Gioia has actively participated in different European and national projects providing a scientific and technical contribution She has actively followed several master thesis in Biomedical Engineering, Automation Engineering and Biotechnology.Gioia Lucarini's research efforts are oriented towards a combination of solid engineering and robotic skills and cross-fertilization between different disciplines, with the aim of inventing new robotic solutions at different scales.
