The project addresses the problem of lack of efficient storage devices for insulin and sterilization devices for needles used by type 1 diabetic patients in rural settings. The project consists of a box with two compartments. one compartment for the storage of insulin. This compartment acts as a mini-fridge to maintain temperature within the recommended ranges. The other compartment is a sterilization Unit. It contains an Ultraviolet C gemicidal bulb that is switched on for a set period of time to sterilize needles and syringes.
