According to ISO 9999 code - 12 06 03 walking frames are devices that a person lifts to move, which enable maintenance of stability and balance and support of body weight while walking or standing; with hand rips, without forearm support and with either four tips or two tips and two castors.

The device here described is an innovative walking frame made of a polymeric composite material strengthened with carbon fibers, which allow to optimize lightness, maneuverability and mechanical strength with respect to the common ones usually made of aluminum. Since this solution reduces physical efforts requested to the user, a greater number of people with different levels of disability could get benefits.
