Project description

The brace is a helmet that is molded and created to fit the baby's head and needs. The orthosis leaves an empty space for the flat area of the head to fill, while the rest are in contact with the head in order to direct the desired growth axis.

It is recommended for the brace to be worn for 23 hours a day during a define period of time. Its length varies according to the age at which the treatment began, from 4 to 7 months in general.

During the months of treatment, the head grows filling the gaps and, as a result, a certain amount of adjustment to the helmet is necessary in order to avoid damage to the patient.
