Project description

Prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun poses a health risk to the skin and eyes that can lead to premature aging and even cancer.

With this in mind, the idea is to design a prototype of a portable UV sensor integrated with an audio notification system based on a smartphone application for blind people.

Through an app notification system, it offers appropriate recommendations for skin care based on the ultraviolet index (UVI), exposure time and skin color.

This project is based on the paper described below, which we wish to develop and improve.
