Project description

OLD APPROACH
Basically our device is meant to withdraw a sample of blood from a high-risk stroke patient (so someone who already had a stroke event or someone who had a risk parameter out-of-range), and by using an optical technology, analyzes the required time for coagulation and gives back a value about the correct time coagulation

NEW APPROACH
Exploit an approach based on a known device (Eversense CGM), we can analyze the concentration of coagulation factors by observe the composition of the interstitial fluid and, using a specific indicator, we will have the transduction of the signal.
The fluorescence, created by the bond between the indicator and a fluoro-polymer, will be directly correlated to the amount of coagulation factor, so we can monitor the coagulation chain and predict when it activates too much, causing an unwanted clot that can cause a stroke!
