The Phototherapy blanket has a base and blanket
The blanket is the upper most part of this design which forms a canopy over the baby who rests on the Perspex glass on the base of the design. The base has both high power LEDs and layered LEDs while the blanket over the baby has strip LEDs. Below the Perspex glass lies a power supply which provides 12V Dc and 26.5V Dc output and then a layer on which the LEDs are attached.
This phototherapy blanket has under gone initial design, testing and modification which has been able to make it better and through all these processes, there has been input by physician and other technical persons on how to make the design better.
Over 80% of the materials used on our design and during prototyping were locally generated and just a few things were imported for their unavailability on the local market.
