The Vapor Clearer project involves the design and development of a low-cost steam generator for sterilization of surgical tools. This project aims to propose an alternative to conventional autoclave systems that could find an application in low-resource or rural settings. The main value proposition of the project resides in its low cost and reduced energy consumption, overcoming the main limitations of autoclaving, which requires expensive equipment and continuous power supply. This device has been conceived to be operated by healthcare professionals and trained personnel.
