The WHO estimates that around 1.3 billion people suffer from some type of visual impairment, including at least 35 million blind people.(who.int, 2019) According to one study this will be worst in the future, despite technological developments, due to demographic aging. (R A Bourne, y otros, 2017)

Of all cases, it is estimated that 80% are avoidable or seeminglt easy to solve. On the other hand 90% of those affected people live in developing contries, making it more difficult to solve the problem. (who.int, 2019)

Therefore, an approachable and economically feasible medical device is proposed, wich aims to improve the possibilities of access to information for the visually impaired in developing countries.
