The primary target audience for flat foot orthoses is as follows:
Adults who have flatfoot:
These include individuals who are born with and those that develop flatfoot as they grow, gain weight or get injured.
Children who have flat feet:
Children with flexible flatfoot may need orthoses if they experience pain and discomfort because they do not need therapy until symptoms appear.
Active People and Sportspeople:
Other people, such as athletes or others involved in other physical activities may also need specific orthotics for failing to prevent overpronation related to flatfoot.
Elderly People:
In more involving flatfoot, the development of orthoses assists the elderly who are experiencing more foot pain and less mobility.
Overweight People:
Obesity leads to flatfooting, or flat feet, and thus requires orthoses for increased mobility and comfort. Being overweight puts more pressure on the arch of the foot than normal weight people.
