Design for ISO testing compliance

The collection of geometries is provided in the form of unit cells of 10 x 10 x 10 mm3. As compared to cylindrical test probes, more common of cell culture studies, these shared cubic structures are interesting from a geometrical and mechanical evaluation point of view. Indeed, cubic geometries are more easily vizualized and the different XY, XZ and YZ views allow to evaluate printability and the effects of the usually anisotropic 3D printing processes. In addition, cubic geometries are more easily adaptable to mechanical testing systems.

In any case, the editable CAD files, which can be used to design and construct specific test probes according to different ISO or ASTM standards for mechanical testing, just by mapping the shared unit cells across the three-dimensional geometries of test probes, are available on request.
