Printing this open-source library of tissue engineering scaffolds using different technologies and materials can lead to extremely varied results. In consequence, the library in this initial stage is just conceived as a set of geometries for printability evaluation. With these CAD models, systematic comparative studies among printing technologies: fused-deposition modeling, inkjet printing, multi-nozzle jetting, bioprinting, selective laser sintering, selective laser melting, laser stereolithography, digital light processing, lithography-based ceramic / metallic manufacture, to cite some examples, can be performed.
Please refer always to materials' and technologies' developers for manufacturing employing the optimal printing parameters. A good practice for improving final quality is always to inititate the printing with a fine-tuning printing job. Accordingly, an adjustment set of test probes, printed with methodic variations of printing parameters, helps users to select the best process parameters for a desired set of geometries.
