The devices of the kit are designed for usability and considering the standards specified in WP1.

It is important to mention that the risk of exposure to UV-C light, when using the sterilizer, has been considered, in accordance with ISO 15858:2016 proposals. To avoid UV-C light exposure different design decisions have been taken into account:

• First, the sterilizer incorporates a protecting cover, not just for avoiding collisions and eventual damage to the UV-C lamps, but especially for safe operation.

• Second, the sterilizer incorporates a 30s timer and a user-friendly interface, in order to help users adjust the sterilization time and to give user enough time for activating the sterilization process and leaving the sterilization room, before the UV-C lamps are actually lighted.
